About Everest Poker

Everest Poker is a medium-sized poker room. It was the first multi-lingual poker room. Their software is available in 16 languages, so non-English speakers will enjoy this aspect of the poker room. They are also very newbie friendly. For example, they include a poker tutorial in their software, the minimum deposit is only $5, and they offer loads of micro-stakes action.

The vast majority of the games played are no-limit hold'em games. If you are interested in no-limit hold'em and/or want a software in a language besides English, it's worth giving this site a try. Only recently did Everest Poker begin spreading Omaha games.

Software

Everest Poker software has its pluses and its minuses. For non-English speakers, it is nice that they offer their software in 16 different languages. It is also nice for newbie players that they offer tutorials on how to play Texas Hold'em and how to use their software.

They recently took a step towards improving their software. The lobby is now much more visually appealing and the game filters are easier to use. They also reduced the size of the chat box and enlarged the presence of the actual poker table itself.


Bonus ($200 free) and Promotions:

Everest Poker has offered our visitors an increased $200 Bonus Code: WELCOME free bonus on any deposit. While this is an very big bonus, mostly high stakes players will get the real benefit of it. To clear each $1 of bonus, you're required to wager $100, which is quite large for a dollar of bonus money. Again, for higher stakes players, this will probably pass fairly quickly, but for micro-limit players it will take a long time. Essentially, this is Everest Poker's only promotion right now besides their daily token and cash freerolls. However, these are good rewards for active players as they host a good number of them daily. Tokens allow you to enter real money buy-in tournaments.

Also, Everest Poker gives new players the chance to win real money through their free Sit 'n Gos. Basically, you need to win consecutive events with escalating prize pools to earn the free money. For example, for winning the free tourney, you'll win 5 or 6 cents. You can then use that nickel to enter the nickel buy-in event to win 25c. It is mostly just for fun, but theoretically, if you get on a miracle winning streak you can win $80 free in these Sit 'n Gos. Players can also earn points now on their gameplay and use them to enter real money tournaments.

How do I register for the Freeroll?

1) Login to your EverestPoker account
2) When in the Lobby, click on the Cashier button. You will then see your most up-to-date account information, including your Real Money and Free Play Chips balances.
3) On the bottom left of the Cashier screen, you will see a box titled Tournament Tokens. As a new depositor, you should see your Freeroll Token. Please note the date of expiration. To play in our $1000 New Depositors Freeroll, you must register by the expiration date.
4) After closing the Cashier section, you will once again be in the Lobby. Go into the Scheduled Tournaments section and select the tab Special. Click on $1,000 Freeroll from the list of tournaments. Select the $1000 Freeroll tournament you would like to play and click on the Register button.
5) You will be asked to confirm you want to pay the tournament buy-in by using your New Depositors Freeroll token. Click OK. You are now registered and the tournament will appear under the My Tournaments tab in Scheduled Tournaments.


Best Features

1) Unique software design. It has a different look than other popular poker sites, and the graphics are pretty detailed.
2) No limit ring games. This is probably the busiest area of the site.

24/7 Help Support

As far as support goes, Everest Poker has disappointed me a little. Sure they have a FAQ section, and even a support form which returns some pretty speedy replies. Filling the form out though is a tad complicated (it’s not like it’s rocket-science, but when you’re fuming over the lack of any kind of live support, filling out a form over several pages is not exactly a soothing experience). The least I’d have expected was phone support, but forgive my superficiality if they have a number displayed somewhere on their site: I couldn’t find it. The best kind of live support is the one through chat, and that is definitely not available at EverestPoker. Support is only available by e-mail. While support is generally helpful they are on occasions slow to respond.
